Connecting with my couples is a must for me. I think it is the only way to capture images of their wedding day with full integrity and ownership of my skills. Every now and then, there is a spark! A chemistry that happens where you know magic will be created.
Andrea first called me when I was in a noisy coffee shop and we ended up talking for 2 hours. Instant connection. I could describe to a tee what her wishes were for her intimate wedding and how this decision was SO important for her. All of it was being done on the phone with no way to meet in person but understood her, her vision, her style.
And so fast forward to the morning of her wedding day at Nita Lake Lodge Whistler. The day we first meet in person and it was perfect. She was so excited, she shared with me that she didn’t know what she was most excited about … the actual wedding or the thought of seeing the images captured afterwards. Oh my, she stole my heart!
When talking to Andrea, I knew her dress was going to be this gorgeous vintage piece and it looked absolutely perfect on her.
On this intimate setting at Nita Lake Lodge, you could feel the intensity and excitement in the air when Scoot saw his stunning bride for the first time.
A few months ago, when Andrea and Scott were in a bar in Seattle one night they heard this amazing duo Local Stangers, they fell in love with one of their song. As they found out Andrea’s sister who was with them that evening surprise the couple by inviting the famous duo to come and perform live acappela on the dock. It was one of the most amazing moment, I have ever witness and there wasn’t a dry eye anywhere to be seen.
The lounge and the library at Nita Lake Lodge was absolutely perfect for their intimate celebration.
As soon as I walked in, my jaw dropped, the decor was spectacular, the ladies at Sea to Sky Celebrations nailed it, they knew exactly what Andrea’s vision was and they delivered in so many ways, little hidden gems in every corner of the library.
I hope you also enjoy this little treat and discover the beautiful voices of Local Stangers.
