Whistler Wedding Photographer|Nicklaus North Golf Course| Brett & Jeff | Part 2

A little sweet sexy love to celebrate the end of the week and enjoy more of Brett & Jeff’s Wedding.

Congratulation to you both,

Pascale xox

Describe your design elements and the inspiration behind them.

Above all, we wanted the day to be cheerful. Color was very important so we used bright flowers to accent the already beautiful green backdrop of the mountains and golf course.

What was the number one piece of advice given to you while planning your wedding and what would you pass on to newly engaged brides to help them in the coming months?

- Don’t try and do it all yourself.
- You can never have too many photos

Whistler Wedding Photographer|Nicklaus North Golf Course| Brett & Jeff | Part 1

Brett and Jeff had my undivided attention the moment we agreed to meet for the first time over a glass of wine.  Brett and I had red wine while Jeff very responsively ordered a hot chocolate.  I think we must of talked for a couple of hours about everything from life to falling in love when you least expect it.  It felt right for me, it felt right for them and that was that.

We did their E-Session in Gastown since not only is this a place they love but also where they first meet.  It was the perfect contrast to their Whistler mountain outdoor wedding.

During the months of wedding planning, I am proud to say I got Brett completely hooked on Pinterest and she incorporated some great DIY details that just made their wedding fun, casual yet elegant and gorgeous.

Here is Part 1 of their special day.

1. How did he propose and what made you say yes?

He put the ring in the bottom of my stocking on Christmas morning in Hawaii. Way better than a lump of coal!
I said yes because it meant I got to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.

2. How did Whistler become your number one choice of where to tie the knot?
There’s something about Whistler and jumping on the Sea-to-Sky that instantly makes you smile and relax. It’s always been a special place for us, and the mountains, lakes and stunning scenery created the perfect vibe for our day.

3. What was your criteria when looking for your dress and how did you know once you found it?
Even after watching countless hours of Say Yes to the Dress, I didn’t know what I was looking for. But after trying only a few dresses on, I knew I had found it when I started crying before I even exited the dressing room, and my mom and sister quickly followed suit.

Come back for Part 2 at the end of the week, you won’t want to miss the rest of Brett & Jeff’s Story and how I got them to sit in dandelions and they totally rocked it.

Whistler Photographer | Pascale’s World | Real Love

Today I just want to write about real love.

The love that I believe very few ever get to experience and even fewer commit to experience for life.  In my world (or as my husband would say in Pascale’s world) all my couples get married and live happily ever after!  I have yet to hear otherwise from any of them in the last 8 years and I believe there is great karma that lives within that thought.

I am a lucky woman.  I am one of the very few.  I still have moments when I step away from my life and looking thinking: ”Is this for real? I have a man that is there every step of the way with me, day in day out.  Through the learning curve of raising a child, running a business and everything that real life brings our way, he’s right there making me feel like he hit the jackpot (don’t get me wrong he kind of did but I’ll admit to having some moments that are… let’s call them less glamorous!)

As I experience life with him, I am fascinated by how deep a connection can truly be and how much more connected and partners we become as the years go by.  I think there is a bit of luck involve but I also think it’s an attitude and a choice to check in or check out.  It truly is the most rewarding aspect of ones life as it gets to influence everything else in your life for the better.

Happy anniversary my love,

Pascale xox

Whistler Wedding Photographer | E-Session | Tell a story in BW

What’s so special about an E-Session (engagement photo session)?  In my opinion it’s a chance (if it’s well done ) to tell your story, to have a reflection of what you love and who you love in your everyday life.  I love finding out the little things about my couples, what makes them laugh, what they do when they have a moment to themselves, what they wish they did more of.  This starts shaping my vision of how I can help them claim a moment just for the two of them and find a backdrops that will enhance their story and create a timeless moment.

Here are a few stories…
