I hope my work catches your eye (actually both of them).
Put your feet up, put on some nice music and get comfortable.
You’ll probably be here awhile. Categories

Whistler Family Photographer | Real Family | Hide and Seek
Sometimes the most simple setting forces us to truly focus on our subject. I met the kids right after school and it was just about to start a massive rain storm so we all decided to stay within the school yard and just go play hide and seek in the woods.
Thank you for such a great game of hide and seek

Squamish Family Photographer | Maya at the beach
I have been one of those lucky photographer to have met Colleen & Landon almost 5 years ago when they made me their wedding photographer at their very intimate celebration in Tofino. Since then a friendship has been blooming so much so that I was also invited at the birth of their beautiful daughter Maya and to capture every milestone since then. As shown here!
Now Maya is turning into quite the little precious girly girl and she made me laugh the whole time I had my camera on her.
Thank you Colleen & Landon for including me in Maya’s world.

Squamish Family Photographer | Fall walk with the pups
Aliesha has been a longtime client of mine, we found a friendship somewhere in the middle of her wedding planning, her strong animal right support and adventures and her growing passion for photography. So needless to say when she called me to photograph her family, I had a really good idea of what style and ideas we both shared. What I didn’t realize was that as much as I though I was the biggest animal lover, she is in a different league with a giant heart.
As we took the dogs out for a walk, I began to learn the touching story of the different family members (cats and dogs) and I tell you, I don’t know if I have ever seen such an eclectic group living happily together. I loved every minute of it.
I asked her to describe each one of them, this is what she wrote me:
“What a beautiful day we had. We really lucked out with the weather. The dogs seemed better behaved than I thought they would be.
You asked for the spelling of all their names. The orange cat is Kolbassa, my Fairview cat, a complete attention hound. Autolycus is the grey and white cat, a bottle baby with a strange personality. I don’t think he knows he is a cat. They do not get along very well, Autolycus is always chasing Kolbassa around the house, though Kolbassa is the boss at meal times.
Molly is the little blonde dog. She is afraid of the cats and is a complete momma’s girl. Zelgadis is the chocolate lab. He is the one who is allergic to the cats and everything else. Poor guy has had several health issues all his life. Samwise it the golden coloured male dog. He is the sensitive boy in the group, well named as he is hobbit like in every way. He thinks with his stomach, but is loyal and friendly. “Samwise the Brave”
Thank you for your trust Aliesha once more.

Whistler Family Photographer | The Raine Boys
Meet the Raine boys. Give them a few more years and they will be the ones ripping it on the hill, in the bike park, pretty much anywhere they will go. You would want to resist their love but you would melt within minutes. They are so deliciously funny and sweet.
Little boys are indeed so different in every possible way to how little girls behave, it’s hilarious. So when I am asked to photograph little boys, I usually end up with bruised knees, grass stains and a huge smile. This was the best of times.
Thank you Kennedy & Willy for trusting me with your boys!

Whistler Family Photographer | Toddlers Brother & Sister’s love or kind of…
Doing a photo session with siblings has to be one of my favourites. You don’t have to interfere or direct too much just be efficient. One second it’s a gorgeous hug and the next their pulling the hair out of each other! Don’t you just lobe sibling affection.
Next Week a “WOW” wedding to show you!
Whistler Family Photographer | A Father & Daughter’s Bond | Part 2
One of life sweet and simple moment.
In honour of our Father & Daughter Bond series, I had to share these few images with you as it was such an authentic moment, my girl in her pyjama while Daddy is showing her how to cast with her ever so pretty Dora fishing rod.
Whistler Family Photographer | A Father & Daughter’s Bond | Part 1
Call me bias and I will completely agree. But give me my two favourite people together playing and I melt. I love that once in a while I remember to use my skills for my own selfish needs. I have always believed that to find meaning in your work , you have to be passionate about what you do. I still believe that it couldn’t be more true for a photographer. You have to believe that you are making a difference weather it is recognize right away or in 50 years shouldn’t really matter as long as you can feel it.
When talking about a moment, we say: “Don’t worry you’ll remember how it was, how it felt”. I am not so sure, I think there is nothing like looking back at an image and being able to still have the feeling of the wind in your hair on a swing set or the smell of the grass or even that carefree feeling of pure joy playing with you daddy. That is what an image should do.
So I smile when I know that if nothing else this is the gift I am able to give my daughter, her daddy and myself. Now I just have to remember to do it often!
Squamish Family Photographer | Kids will be kids
You have to love family reunion. Well I do anyways because there is always something that doesn’t go according to plan and keeps it real.
I was ask by a long time client of mine if I could come and capture some images during their family reunion:
Me: “of course”
Me: “How many kids?”
Melanie: ” 6 boys, 1 girl and a newborn”
Me: “Oh this will be fun!”
The kids and I had a great time, the parents laugh, the newborn had a nap and everyone was happy.
The kids made all of us keep it real!

Whistler Family Photographer | Children | Best B&W
There is something timeless about a black and white image that just makes you smile. Make it about children and it becomes an instant classic…!!!
Some parents may not be so proud (see first image) but they are timeless moments nonetheless!
Squamish Family Photographer | Pretty in Pink
I have known Julie and Ryan for a few years starting with their gorgeous wedding at The Edgewater Lodge. A few years went by and Zola came along. We always kept in touch and a few weeks ago, we all decided it was time to claim the last few weeks as a family of three before they become a family of four.
It was the perfect setting to celebrate Zola as a big girl, ready to be a big sister and sexy mama Julie sporting her gorgeous perfect belly.
I had a friend of mine the other day ask me:” How do you customize each session to look so different given similar family situation?”
It’s funny as I actually never really see similarities between my families even with the similar dynamics, looking back at Julie, Ryan and Zola’s session it occurred to me that they were in the same boat as an other family that I photographed a few months ago that I love Jodi,Todd and Charli both waiting for the new baby yet two different stories, take a look at The Carter Family + One Session and you be the judge as to how each family is completely different and deserve a unique look that is just right for them.
