2020 has been a whirlwind for so many reasons and throughout these last 10+ months, I have counted my blessings daily for my health, my family, my community, my country and my amazingly loyal clients.⁠

My passion to document love is stronger than ever and my inner child and geek is freaking out at what this little gem of a bomb is going to do with my creativity.⁠

To all my 2020 clients that have now become my 2021 and 2022 an to my new ones, I am inspired and ready to help you capture the wonderful adventures ahead.⁠

Just a few days ago, my father was explaining to my daughter (in a very simplified way) that she, my daughter only came to exist because of WWII...(my father has a way to spike curiosity about history lessons)⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
My daughter completely shocked by that statement was now giving my dad her full attention...and so it goes...⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
At the time in France is was no longer safe for my grandmother and her family (being of Jewish descendants) to stay in Europe and so they embarked on a journey to escape and find refuge in Canada.⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
Meanwhile my grandfather, whom had lied about his age to enlist had become a Canadian Spitfire Pilot and was serving in the war at the young age of 19 years old.⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
After a severe plane crash which resulted into a back accident, my grandfather went on to become an instructor using his talent to teach other young pilots for the Canadian Air Force.⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
My grandmother and him met at a local chalet in Québec and started a romance against my Great Grandfather's wishes.⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
*Little known fact, my grandfather and my husband's grandfather upon tracing back their respectful timelines where at the same army base at the exact same time for a brief period. Mark and I always wondered if they crossed path.⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
It is always a bittersweet time of the year to reflect as these months also reminds me of my sweet Grand Maman and my beloved uncle whom have also passed away, Tonton Jaco just a short year ago...too soon.⁠⠀
.⁠⠀
